My happiness...

Busy, but getting better.. I hope

Life is passing by so quickly, like sand pouring through my hand... I try to remember everything, but it's hard, I want to remember every new noise, sound and look that Max makes. I am so lucky to be a stay-at-home-Mum. But, it is the hardest, most rewarding thing I have ever done..
I am beginning to be more organised, and do more things I have put off for a while.. I hope to start blogging more, at least once a month to keep a track of what Maxwell does...

Fingers crossed, watch this space! ;)

Making progress

Since Thanksgiving, MFJ and I have been 'sleep training' Max... It has been a little rough going at times, but eventually, we knew progress would be made, and last night; he slept a solid 6 hours without a peep. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for me! I woke up a couple times concerned that he hadn't woken yet! I wish for something, wait months for it to happen then when it does, it unnerves me! Ha! We'll see if it was a one-off or if it will happen again tonight.. So far, he has been asleep for nearly 2 hours. I'm going to head to bed soon and hope to take advantage of multiple consecutive hours of undisturbed sleep! It is funny to think that I haven't really had a good solid nights sleep for over 7 months now.. It is true I think, the last coupe months of pregnancy prepare you for the sleepless nights you will have when your precious baby arrives! I wouldn't change it for the world though. When Max is in my arms, near me or with me, it does not matter how little sleep I have had, when he is not with me, quite the opposite. It's amazing how your body just 'does'.

Last wednesday, we boarded a plane as a family and headed to the sunshine state!

How time flies!

This is a very rare thing that is happening right now... I am sitting in the lounge on the computer doing what I want, and have been for the last hour or so.. I can hardly believe it!

MFJ has taken himself off to bed for an early night after a long day at work following our late return home from our holiday in Naples, FL.

It's hard to believe I haven't had a minute to write on this thing since September! Wow...

It's amazing how quickly time is flying by, and how much has happened in the last few months, Max is 5 months old tomorrow and it's going way too quickly! Every day he changes and grows and develops his own amazing little personality.

My days and my nights merge, I am tired often, but I can not complain about it, I am officially in the role I have always wanted to be in, and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Since we got back from England Max has been waking every couple hours through the night.. I am hoping tonight (as I do every night) that it is the night he sleeps that little bit longer, I actually fed him formula instead of nursing him before he went to bed, maybe it will keep him fuller longer, who knows.. I'll try it for 3 days see if it makes a difference... I'm all for trying something new to see if it will work to keep him sleeping that little bit longer so I can get a longer stint of shut eye! Mind you, he went to bed at 20:15, he's been down for 2 hours now, I should go to bed soon as this is his longest period of sleep, sometimes sleeping right through to 1am.. I'm just so very lucky I don't have to get up and work in the morning.. This 24/7 job is so much better for tired eyes and sleepless nights!
